The Sueria Manufacturing and Distribution Company is fast becoming a leader in the fruit juice market in Guyana.
The company’s latest addition to its product line is Juicy Juice 100 % Juice.
Yesterday void of all the pomp and ceremony the company quietly hand delivered and donated a quantity to the children of the Joshua House orphanage.
Chief Executive Officer Frank Sanichara and Sales and Marketing Manager, Hashim Alli, did the honours by visiting the orphanage for a pep talk with the children about being honest, having hope and being respectful.
In an invited comment after, Sanichara said, “There were many other ways we could have done our launch in Guyana but we decided that since we are targeting children we would offer to those in need first, because we are not just about making a profit but also about understanding our social responsibility. Hence we selected the Joshua House as a first step.”
Several other orphanages are also earmarked to benefit from the company’s benevolence to ensure that the orphans are given their healthy, tasty vitamin C boost.
After prayers were said by the children numbering more than 50 it was a Juicy Juice time.
House mother Gladys Accra in expressing her appreciation heaped praises on the company for thinking of the children.
Sanichara promised that he would ensure that more support is given to the orphanage. His company and his friends are going to be supporting the positive upbringing of the nation’s future leaders.
“To ease your burden we will be delivering a scanner/printer shortly to help the children to do their school work,” Sanichara said.
Juicy Juice is a brand of juices specifically for children. It is best known as “the very best juice for the very best kids”.
Juicy Juice was introduced by Libby’s (a subsidiary of Nestlé) since 1977. The brand is now owned by Harvest Hills Beverage, another leading beverage giant in the United States. Sueria Manufacturing has secured the exclusive rights to distribute this juice in Guyana.
When asked why Juicy Juice 100% juice is a better choice, Sanichara, the CEO of Sueria Manufacturing replied, “The name says it all, it’s 100% Juice, and there are not many 100% juices available for children in Guyana. Not only is it 100% Juice, but there is no sugar added and no artificial flavors used.”
He also stressed that in a changing world it is very important that our children use healthy products.
Explaining his market target, he noted, “This is an ideal product for kids. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, it is healthier for kids to drink fruit juices that are pasteurized and not fruit drinks. I am proud to say that Juicy Juice 100% juice is pasteurized and it’s not just a juice drink.”
Juicy Juice comes in eight different flavors— Apple, Berry, Fruit Punch, Grape, Kiwi Strawberry, Orange Tangerine, Peach Strawberry and Strawberry Watermelon.
Clarifying the difference between a fruit juice and a fruit drink he said, “Consumers need to look at the box and see what percentage of juice is stated on the nutritional facts. The difference should be evident.
“In most instances, a fruit drink is a mixture of artificial flavors, artificial colors and sugar and in some cases a very small percent of juice is added. Whereas, a proper fruit juice contains 100% Juice, no artificial flavours, or colours.”
Asked to make a comparison with other products currently on the market Sanichara said he is still waiting to see one. “Juicy Juice is just the perfect juice for your kids, not only is it affordable but it’s a healthier choice. There is also 100% Vitamin C which is another important nutrient for kids. I am not a doctor but I challenge parents to look at the nutritional facts and make that comparison. I even recommend that parents talk to their paediatricians about choosing their kids’ juice.” (Mondale Smith)
